If you're visiting here for the first time, I should probably explain. I'm a second year Physics student and I was revising for my end of year astronomy exam, and somehow wound up looking at pictures of the stars. It just struck me then, how much I love my degree. The universe really is beautiful. Astronomy is probably my favourite part of my degree, and looking through these pictures, I remember why. Yeah, physics is hard and the maths occasionally makes my brain overheat, but we get to learn about stuff like this, and it's so, so worth it. Every minute.
--- For those who are interested, the pictures, in order, show 1. The Eagle nebula 2. The Crab Nebula 3. The Hubble deep field 4. The Pinwheel galaxy 5. Part of the Rosette nebula 6. The moon 7. The Pleiades So yeah. Vast amounts of procrastination = a random pretty thing. I'll probably get round to cleaning this up at some point, but I should really get back to my revision for now. |
